Photodynamic Therapy What to expect on the day of appointment
At Bare Body Laser, our Photodynamic Therapy appointments take place in our state-of-the-art medical spa. We begin each appointment with a consultation to discuss your goals and develop a personalized treatment plan. We then cleanse your skin and apply the PDT solution. Once the solution has been absorbed, we expose your skin to the light source. The entire process takes about 30 minutes. After your Photodynamic Therapy appointment at Bare Body Laser, you can expect your skin to look and feel smoother and more radiant. You may also notice an improvement in the appearance of sun damage, fine lines, wrinkles, acne, and precancers. Photodynamic Therapy can be used as a standalone treatment or part of a comprehensive skincare plan. For optimal results, we recommend a series of Photodynamic Therapy treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

Do photodynamic therapy (PDT) treatments hurt?
Topical anesthesia makes the treatment much less painful. You might feel like you are getting a sunburn, but this will only last for seconds.
What precautions should I take after treatment?
You will need to be completely out of the sunlight for 24 hours in order not to have any complications from Photodynamic Therapy! For at least three months after your treatment, make sure to also wear SPF 30 or higher.
