Rosacea

Laser treatments can be effective in managing the symptoms of rosacea, a chronic skin condition characterized by redness, flushing, visible blood vessels, and sometimes, the development of papules and pustules. Laser therapy can target the blood vessels and reduce redness associated with rosacea.

Rosacea is a common and chronic condition that affects facial skin and causes flushing, inflamed lesions, thickened skin and enlarged pores. Secondary symptoms include itching, burning or stinging which can develop due to inflamed hair follicles caused by ingrown hair or Staphylococcus bacteria. Depending on severity, this disorder can have a significant impact on quality of life.

Rosacea is not curable, but symptoms can be successfully managed and at Bare Body Laser Spa we are here to help!

The number of treatments required are based on skin severity and symptoms. Typically, it takes a series of 3–6 treatments, scheduled 6 weeks apart, before significant results are visible. Results can last as long as 3–5 years.

Machines:

  • Fotona SP Dynamis
  • Candela Gentle Max Pro
  • Candela Nordlys

How to prepare for your treatment:

  • Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for at least two weeks before treatment. Use sunscreen with a high SPF to protect your skin.
  • Discontinue the use of certain skincare products, including retinoids & exfoliating products at least one week before the procedure.
  • Inform your specialist about any medications you are taking
  • Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your treatment to keep your skin well-hydrated. We typically recommend clients drink pedialyte or another form of electrolytes two weeks prior to treatment. This will help keep your body hydrated and help with results
  • Maintain a balanced diet with a focus on fruits, vegetables, and foods rich in vitamins and antioxidants to support skin health.
  • Keep your skin clean and well-moisturized leading up to the treatment day.
  • Arrive at your appointment with a clean face, free of makeup, lotions, or other skincare products.

For all face treatments we take photos. This is to track the progress of the treatment.
